Susan Scurlock MBE

I am a graphic designer by trade, an artist by nature and when not in my studio the CEO and Founder of Primary Engineer. 

I have worked as an illustrator, graphic designer, teacher, but in 2005 founded Primary Engineer a not-for-profit purpose led organisation to bring engineering into schools. Whilst the roles may seem at odds with each other, the thread that links them is creativity. 

At the start of Primary Engineer I designed and illustrated resources to be used in classrooms, devised programmes, competitions and qualifications for teachers and schools the approach had to be creative, engaging and fun we did things differently – and still do! 

Over the years though I have continued to grow my own artistic practice, experimenting, developing, taking courses, and playing – I hope you like my work!!
